‘Moana 2’ takes things a step further with another tale of Moana taking her journeys all around the Pacific. Synopsis
These events take place three years following Moana’s initial voyage. Moana now sets out on a quest to locate the island of Motufetu, thought to be the solution for reunes the isolated island tribes afflicted by Nalo, the god of storms. With the assistance of a new crew including Maui (Dwayne Johnson), the demigod imprisoned initially by the witch Matangi (Awhimai Fraser) Moana encounters a tribe of coconuts and a giant clam among other challenges. The film focuses on the aspects of connecting the tribes of Oceania from Moana’s perspective while also addressing themes of unity and the consequences of leadership.
