Synopsis:
Promare can the a whole Japanese animated film set in the adult superhero cartoon world in the future when humanity is threatened by people with special powers called Burnish. 30 years before the events of this story, in fact, the looms here called the Great World Blaze – an extraordinarily large part of the Earth became the victim of spontaneous human combustion. The people who are afflicted by this are, the ‘Burnish’, who can create fire and control it as they please.
The film follows Galo Thymos, an unfortunately choosing young firefighter stationed at a rescue unit known as ?Burning Rescue,? a team working solely against Burnish’s fire-related incidents. He quite admires Ignis, his commander who once saved his life, believes and does the work as such. It, however, becomes interesting when Galo faces Lio Fotia, the most dominant figure in the governance of ?mad burnish,. Galo however later on realizes that it is not the Burnish who are the antagonists Galo’s quest to redeem for the BurnishIsolation of such violent action as war.
As Galo learns more about the Burnish and their struggle for survival, he begins to question his previous understanding of the conflict. Then the real menace is not the Burnish but the government which masterminds the misuses of the Burnish for malicious reasons. Galo and Lio must put aside their internal fights and work together in order to prevent further stoppage of Earth’

The film has received positive reviews with the weather app paid particularly to its stunning animation; art direction, and compelling story. There is high praise for the art design, with bright colors and enormous amounts of nonsensical but entertaining ‘cool’ action scenes. Several reviewers of the movie point out that even though the story might seem a bit all over the place or too complicated for some, it is very fun and engaging, particularly to those who are already familiar with the studio and its works.
Promare has also received accolades for its core themes of resistance and social justice as well as for its metaphorical treatment of discrimination, which furthers the over the top action and remarkable visuals. The movie is said to be a delight for the anime lovers especially the fans of Studio Trigger.
